2024 NCAA College Football Bowl Pool
POOL CHANGE ALERT!!!
With the NEW NCAA Playoff system, we have decided to have the annual Bowl Pool, only include those games involved in the playoffs. All other rules remain the same. The one major difference is that you will have to fill out your ballot 3 different times. The reason for that is quite simple, since it’s a playoff, the participants for rounds 2, 3 and 4, are not know until previous round is complete. I will have new ballot ready as soon as possible.
The other big reason to go to this system is, since the portal has been in place, a lot of teams involved in Bowl games have lost their star players, hence the turn character of that team is changed and the caliber of play is decreased. The teams involved in the playoffs, don’t face these same challenges.
One other change this year concerns the point spreads. I am using the app called “theScore” to get the opening line for each game. When viewing a game, you can click “Betting Info”, and the opening line is always shown. For those spreads that were whole numbers, I’ve decided to add a half point to the spread. This will eliminate ties. Games 1 and 4, of Round 1 were affected by this rule.
